Oil pulling works as the oil is able to cut through plaque, removing bacteria and other microorganisms from the mouth. Use one whole table spoon of natural, and preferably organic coconut oil. Oil pulling achieves best results when done in the mornings, first thing, before eating, drinking or brushing your teeth.

  1. Simply place a tablespoon of coconut oil into your mouth, tilting your head back slightly.
  2. Swish it around, pulling it through your teeth. Do this for at least 10 minutes, but preferably up to 20 minutes.
  3. Spit it out. After spitting it out, rinse your mouth well.

Repeat every morning for at least 14 day and up to 28 days, depending on what benefits you start noticing by day 14.

It’s better to avoid swallowing the oil, as it contains toxins and bacteria from your mouth. However, if you do, don’t worry, coconut oil is safe!
